Why lunch & learns with Meridian
Development that fits into a lunch hour
Your people are busy. Long trainings get postponed, and one-way webinars get half their attention. These sessions are built for a lunch hour: one proven framework, real practice with colleagues, and one commitment to act on.
Every session includes:
-
One pre-session planning call to learn your team’s goals and challenges, so examples and scenarios fit your organization.
-
60 minutes, start to finish. A focused session that respects your team's calendar.
-
Live participation. Polls, word clouds, and small-group conversations keep everyone engaged, whether virtual or in the room.
-
Real workplace scenarios. Examples tailored to your industry and the challenges your team is facing now.
-
One action per person. Every participant leaves with a specific step they will take that week.
-
A certified facilitator. Led by Victoria Rayel, ICF-credentialed (ACC) coach and Certified Social Styles Facilitator.
-
One post-session debrief call to share participant feedback and key themes, and to recommend next steps for keeping the momentum going.
Delivery: Virtual via Zoom anywhere, or in person in the Boston area.
Well suited for: Companies investing in employee growth, HR and L&D teams, Employee Resource Groups, leadership teams, and professional associations.
The Workshops

Each workshop stands on its own. Together, they move from leading yourself to working with others to growing what's next.
01. Above the Line: Leading Yourself Through Change
When change never stops, the most valuable skill is choosing your response instead of reacting.
When change never stops, the most valuable skill is choosing your response instead of reacting.
AI, reorganizations, and shifting priorities can leave even strong performers feeling like work is happening to them. This workshop introduces the To Me, By Me, Through Me framework from conscious leadership. Participants learn to notice when they are reacting and shift toward ownership, curiosity, and impact. They then apply the framework to a real challenge they are facing.
Participants will:
-
Recognize the mindset they are operating from and the patterns that keep them stuck
-
Use four coaching questions to work through a real career or leadership decision
-
Leave with one action that creates more ownership or impact this week
Best for: Teams navigating change, emerging and established leaders, and high performers who feel stuck.
$250, $500 per session
02. Running on Empty: Sustainable Performance Without Burnout
The traits we praise most, like always saying yes and always being available, are often the ones burning our people out.
Burnout rarely comes from one bad week. It builds through rising workload, blurred boundaries, and declining efficiency. In this session, participants learn to spot the early signs in themselves and their teams. They diagnose what is draining capacity with the Workload Friction Map and reset priorities with Do, Delegate, Defer, Delete.
Participants will:
-
Identify the behavioral, physical, and emotional signs of burnout
-
Sort their biggest workload frictions into what they can control, influence, or escalate
-
Commit to one capacity-protecting action for the next seven days
Best for: High-pressure teams, managers supporting stretched teams, and finance, healthcare, M&A and other demanding environments.
$250, $500 per session
03. Work Better Together: Communication Styles
Most workplace friction isn't about what people say, but it's about how differently we say it.
One colleague wants the data, another wants a decision, a third wants everyone heard, and a fourth has a bold new idea. Using the Social Styles framework, participants identify their own style, learn to read the styles around them, and practice adapting in the moment. Research from TRACOM shows that versatility is linked to better performance in coaching, team leadership, and promotion.
Participants will:
-
Identify their communication style and how others experience it
-
Recognize what each style needs, especially under stress
-
Practice adapting their approach in a realistic team scenario
Best for: Cross-functional teams, new or growing teams, and groups working through friction or change. Ask about which framework fits your team.
$250, $500 per session
04. Conversations That Move Things Forward
The conversations people avoid are often the ones that would fix the problem.
Whether it is giving feedback, raising a concern, or asking for what you need, difficult conversations get easier with a clear structure and a chance to practice. Using the DESC and STATE frameworks, participants prepare for a real conversation they have been putting off and rehearse it with a colleague in a low-stakes setting.
Participants will:
-
Learn a simple structure for feedback and difficult conversations
-
Adapt their approach to the person on the other side of the table
-
Leave prepared to have one real conversation they have been avoiding
Best for: Managers, team leads, and anyone who needs to give feedback or raise issues with confidence.
$250, $500 per session
05. Own Your Next Move: Career Growth From the Inside Out
Waiting to be noticed is not a career strategy.
Many employees want to grow but aren't sure where to start, or they wait for a manager to bring it up. This workshop helps participants clarify where they want to go, separate what they can control from what they can influence, and prepare for a productive growth conversation with their manager. Gallup proves that organizations that invest in career development give their people a reason to grow and begin to increase job satisfaction and motivation (23% higher profitability, 18% higher productivity, and 18% to 43% lower turnover).
Participants will:
-
Clarify the direction they want to grow and why it matters to them
-
Map what is in their control and where they need support
-
Draft talking points for a career conversation with their manager
Best for: Organizations focused on retention and engagement, early and mid-career professionals, and Employee Resource Groups.
$250, $500 per session
