About

VickyRayel-Headshot-Tall-wood.png

I began my career as a Technical Recruiter, where I gained firsthand insight into how organizations evaluate talent and make hiring decisions. After several years in financial services at State Street Corporation, I made my own intentional career pivot into career development. That experience taught me what many professionals discover firsthand: successful career transitions don't happen by chance. They happen through clarity, strategy, and intentional action.

After earning my master's degree from Northeastern University, I spent more than 15 years leading career development initiatives across higher education, nonprofit organizations, private practice, and workforce consulting. I've built and led career programs, managed high-performing teams, developed innovative coaching curriculum, partnered with employers and senior HR leaders, and coached thousands of professionals ranging from early career talent to executives navigating complex career decisions.

Today, I combine those experiences to help mid-career professionals, senior leaders, and executives take ownership of their careers before circumstances force them to.

My coaching is practical, personalized, and rooted in today's workplace realities. Together we'll identify your strengths, clarify your priorities, navigate workplace dynamics, and build a career plan aligned with your values, goals, and definition of success.

I believe careers shouldn't happen to us, they should be intentionally designed. There is rarely one perfect path, but there is almost always a clearer next step. Helping people discover that path is what continues to energize me every day.

About Meridian Career Coaching

Meridian Career Coaching helps experienced professionals make thoughtful decisions about where to go next—and build the visibility, communication skills, relationships, and confidence to grow once they get there.

Clients often come to me at a point of change: they may be considering a pivot, weighing a promotion, adjusting to organizational change, or realizing that the career they have built no longer fits as well as it once did. My role is to provide an objective, experienced space to think clearly, evaluate options, and move forward with a plan that fits both their goals and the life they want to build.

The work centers on two connected areas: Career Navigation, for clarifying your next direction and making a well-considered decision; and Career Growth, for strengthening your positioning, communication, relationships, and influence as you move forward.

What It's Like To Work Together

Meridian Career Coaching supports experienced professionals at meaningful career decision points. If you are considering a new direction, preparing for a larger role, or looking to increase your visibility and influence, you do not have to sort it out alone.

Our work begins by taking stock of where you are now what is working, what is changing, and what matters most at this stage of your career. From there, we use the Meridian Career Methodology to clarify your direction and identify the practical steps that will help you move forward.
